I remember going with my mom and aunt to Bob-Lo Island (anyone else remember that?) when I was a kid.  The ferry ride over had a ton of arcade games and I remember playing some Superman game and that awesome Ninja Turtles game.  I don't remember a lot about that trip.  It was rainy, we walked around in these gardens with lots of flowers, but one thing has always stayed with me. 

We were getting off this train ride when one of the girls working the ride noticed that I had Ninja Turtle tennis shoes.  She was probably about 19 and I think she had black hair.  She said she wanted to show me something, she lifts up her Bob-Lo Island shirt to reveal her Ninja Turtles shirt she was wearing underneath.  But she did it like she was flashing me, even though I only 8 and it was just a Ninja Turtles shirt.  It was pretty funny looking back, too bad I never got to go back and see this girl again.  I wonder what happened to her.

This show just gets better and better.  October can't come fast enough.

Naruto is out on dvd next week? Awesome, I can finally throw out my old fansubs.

I saw Superman Returns yesterday afternoon. I loved it, but I didn't really care for the kid, but at least Singer kept him to a minimum and not make him into Superman's sidekick. Brandon Routh did a great job as Superman and especially as Clark Kent. Bumbling, but not as nerdy as Christopher Reeve's Clark. And Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor? Sorry Gene Hackman, you have no excuse now for wussing out on wearing a bald cap while Kevin Spacey took one for the team and shaved his freaking head!

Release Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess already!!!

Today was my last visit to Masquerade Games. Masquerade was one of the few stores that sold anime when I was younger, and it used to be such a great store. I got my first wall scroll there, and I bought some really good anime and asian movies there over the years.

But the place started to go downhill last summer. The people who ran the place seem to just stop caring. The prices got jacked up, they didn't bother to stock a lot of new items, and when they ran out of something they never order anymore. There would be times when I would come in looking to spend money there, only to leave empty handed and instead go to Best Buy and buy anime there.

I stayed away from Masquerade for a few months and went there tonight to see if things have improved. They hadn't, and I was gone within five minutes.


I used to look forward to going to Masquerade. Now I just wonder how much longer they can stay in business. With more stores selling anime for cheaper prices, including online stores like Right Stuf and Deep Discount DVD, it looks like Masquerade Games is going the way of the dinosaurs.

It's like some kind of geek nightmare.

Yesterday in World of Warcraft I made my way to the Thunder Bluffs in Mulgore, home of the Tauren. The enemies were too low level for me to get any experience, but it was so beautiful just walking around the bluffs. Rolling green valleys, shimmering lakes, a huge Tauren village built on top of a mountain, it was incredible.

Its times like this I'm glad I dropped Star Wars Galaxies and started playing World of Warcraft instead.

Teknoman comes out on dvd this week? I remember watching that in middle school after coming home from church on sundays. It was this cartoon about Slade, this guy who could turn into some kind of armored cyborg and he could only fight for 30 minutes before the armor would take over and turn him evil. It was one of the first anime shows I've ever watched, and got me interested in the genre.

I just got back from X-Men 3. Don't listen to the haters, it was a good movie.

Promo for the now dead Aquaman series. It's a shame, as I actually liked it. I wonder how long before the full pilot gets leaked.

I just saw the newest episode of Lost. Next wednesday cannot come fast enough. It looks like things are finally moving forward.

Well, I'm back. Let's just say I'll be reactivating my World of Warcraft account sometime soon.

This might be my last entry for awhile, as I'm wiping my hard drive and doing a full reinstall of Windows XP this afternoon. With any luck this will fix the slowdown issues my computer's been having and then I can finally reactivate my World of Warcraft account.

I just got back from CFW.  I'll put up my pics over the next week but I got some great news: I passed Calculus!!!  And you know what that means.

Just three more hours until my Calc final. I couldn't sleep, so I did some last minute studying, caught the last part of the Wings game, and watched Monty Python. I can't wait for this test to be over.
